🧀 Ingredients:
- 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust (or make your own pâte brisée)
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup shredded Gruyère (or Swiss cheese)
- ½ cup cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms
- 2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley
🧑🍳 Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
- Roll out the pie crust and cut into small rounds (about 2.5 inches), then press each into the muffin cups.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Fill each crust with cheese and your choice of bacon or mushrooms. Pour egg mixture overtop (fill about ¾ full).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the tops are golden and the center is set.
- Cool slightly, top with fresh herbs, and serve warm or at room temperature.
