Parisian Picnic Pair: Jambon-Beurre + Sparkling Rosé Granita

Simple. Elegant. So très chic.

Celebrate Bastille Day with a lunch straight out of a Parisian park: a buttery ham sandwich on crusty baguette paired with a refreshing frozen rosé granita. Light, fresh, and full of French flair!


🥖 Jambon-Beurre Sandwich (French Ham & Butter)

Ingredients:

  • 1 fresh French baguette
  • 4 tbsp European-style butter (Président or Kerrygold is perfect)
  • 4 slices of Jambon de Paris or prosciutto
  • Optional: cornichons or a thin swipe of Dijon mustard

Instructions:

  1. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
  2. Spread both sides generously with butter.
  3. Layer with ham. Add cornichons or Dijon, if desired.
  4. Slice into portions and wrap in parchment for a picnic-style feel.

🍷 Sparkling Rosé Granita (Frozen Rosé Treat)

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle sparkling rosé
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Optional: strawberries or raspberries for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat 1 cup of rosé with sugar in a saucepan until dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice and remaining rosé.
  3. Pour into a shallow dish and freeze 3–4 hours, scraping with a fork every 45 minutes.
  4. Serve in small glasses with a berry on top.
